Primary Teaching for Mastery – Sustaining

Primary Teaching for Mastery – Sustaining

The Sustaining Phase follows the Embedding phase of Teaching for Mastery. Schools are welcome to rejoin this phase after a short break from Teaching for Mastery. If you have had a break of longer than two years, please contact us and we can have a discussion about the best way for your school to rejoin the Teaching for Mastery programme.

Aims:

The Sustaining Phase will continue to follow the same model that was introduced in 2023-24

The ‘sustaining’ phase of Teaching for Mastery is designed to offer FREE support to schools who have previously completed the Embedding phase of the Teaching for Mastery Programme working with a Mastery Specialist between 2016 – 2024, and are based in Manchester, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale or Bury.

This is an ideal opportunity for schools who are looking to focus on the continued improvement, consistency and refinement of the mastery approach.  Workshops will be held online until face-to-face delivery can be safely resumed

In Teaching for Mastery, the Sustaining Phase is the final and ongoing stage of the journey. Schools continue working with us in the Sustaining phase for many years and we have made some exciting changes to both the Primary and Secondary TfM (Teaching for Mastery) Sustaining Phases. This is to ensure the programme remains as impactful and positive as possible and maintains brilliant levels of staff engagement and impact.

Please read below for these important updates.
