Strengthening Partnerships with ITT Providers Community Secondary Teaching for Mastery

Designed to support ITT mentors with training requirements 

Aims: 

  • Use of our mathematics specific Mentor Toolkit to develop and support mentoring conversations. 
  • The training develops expertise in evidence based mathematical approaches to Teaching for Mastery 
  • Prepares mathematics mentors for their role in guiding and supporting trainees. 

Who can take part? 

This training is suitable for both new and experienced mentors.  

Separate sessions will be offered for ITT mentors in primary and secondary schools 

What is involved? 

A choice of two sessions for each phase. One face to face session and one online session.

 The training is collaboratively presented by NW1 Maths Hub and Turing NW Maths Hub

This programme is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
