NW1 Maths Hub is delighted to announce that the Early Years Subject Knowledge Programme will still continue, despite the next two face to face sessions unable to go ahead.
Early Years leads and reception teachers already enrolled on this programme, will be able to continue their professional development and benefit from opportunities to share best practice and own classroom experiences. They will be able to download copies of the course materials and following completion of a short interim reflection task, be able to participate in a group conference call online on Thursday 14th May.
Nicola Blatchly-Lewis, Work Group Lead says, “It is important that we seek alternative ways of continuing the line of communication and support with participants. Although we won’t be able to take the learnings immediately back to the classroom, we can use this time to share past experiences and consider how best to develop a strong mathematical foundation for children.”
