A warm welcome to our new Mastery Readiness Leads

In preparation for the start of the new Mastery Readiness programme for 2020-21, we are delighted to welcome Jamie Heathcote and Judith Copley to the NW1 Maths Hub team.

Jamie and Judith join NW1 Maths Hub as Mastery Readiness Leads and will each be working with a group of schools, embarking on their mastery journey to help achieve school wide improvements in the teaching of mathematics.

Judith says, “I am passionate about mathematics and ensuring that children learn in the best possible way in order to develop a deep understanding, find enjoyment and creatively explore the subject.”

Jamie has been a Primary Maths Consultant for 12 years. Having taught in London for the majority of his teaching career, he then relocated North and became an authority Lead Teacher supporting schools. He has held many roles including National Strategy Maths Consultant, Every Child Counts Lead trainer and is now an independent maths consultant. Jamie says, “I am delighted to be working with NW1 Maths on the Mastery Readiness programme, so as to deliver my passion of developing maths in schools by inspiring teachers, TAs and children to love and enjoy learning maths.”
